Problem: Trying to close a module for the period. Getting a message that period is not a valid closing option.
Cause: Module is the last fiscal period of the year.
Solution: Select ‘Year’ as the closing option. The options are either close for the year or don’t close. You cannot close for the period, and then later close for the year. Other than the Payroll module, the only valid closing option when you are in the last fiscal period of the year is ‘year’. You cannot close for the period, then close the year. Year is the only valid closing option in the last period, and ‘period’ is the only valid closing option when you are not in the last period.
