When adding products to opportunities, quotes, orders, or invoices, at times, salespeople need to specify the product prices ad hoc. You can allow salespeople to add products without associating a price list first.

- In your app, at the bottom of the site map, select Change area , and select App Settings.
- Under Product Catalog, select Product Catalog Settings.
- Under Make price lists optional, set the Allow line item creation without an associated price list option to Yes.
- Select Apply.
- In your app, on the nav bar, select the Settings icon, and then select Advanced Settings.
- On the nav bar, select Settings, and then select Administration.
- Select System Settings.
- In the System Settings dialog box, on the Sales tab, set the Make price lists optional field to Yes.
Can't find the options in your app?
There are two possibilities:
- You do not have the necessary license or role to perform the steps.
- Your organization might be using a custom app and hence the site map and UI will be different. The steps described in this documentation are specific to the out-of-the-box Sales Hub app. Check with your administrator for the exact steps.
