This article describes how to enable the Exception report option when doing an Export to Microsoft Excel in the Report Viewer.

To do this,

1. In the Report Designer,  load the report that you want to enable the Exception report option for.

2. On the Output and Distribution tab, in the Report options section, select Report duplicate accounts 

3. Save the change.

4. Generate the report in the Report Designer

5. Open the Report Viewer and view the report.

6. Go to File | Export| Microsoft Excel

7. In the Export to Microsoft Excel screen note that the Exception report option is now enabled.
