Problem: 1099s print for all companies or the company name is incorrect on 1099s.
Cause: Multiple companies have the same Federal Taxpayer ID. If companies are to report 1099 payments separately, they should have separate Federal Taxpayer IDs. If multiple companies in Dynamics SL have the same Federal Taxpayer ID, they will be reported together.
The company name on the 1099 will be the one that is sorted first alphabetically.
Resolution: In Company Maintenance, verify or correct the Federal Taxpayer ID for each company.
