After generating a Management Reporter report the report preview opens in Report Viewer and then immediately closes and returns an error:
The report uses a reporting tree and the message is only received when selecting specific reporting units in the reporting tree.
Reviewing the reporting tree definition, it was determined that the { } characters appeared within the Unit Description (column C) of the reporting unit that was selected when the error was received. Once these characters were removed (changed to parentheses) from the Unit Description of these reporting units the error went away.
