If you notice Application Server is processing the request slower, this may be due to a large number of log records in the SL system database. To resolve this issue, change the log retention settings.
To do this,
 
1. In the Foundation menu under Application Server, click Server Administration
2. In the Properties of the Application Server, go to the Management tab
 
 
3.  The default settings of 0 allow for unlimited log retention. The recommendation is a maximum number of entries to maintain of less than 100,000.
 
4. The recommended number of days of logs to maintain before overwriting entries is 30 to 60
