Error 5 in FRx can be resolved by a few resolutions below:
1) Print preview a report in Dynamics SL to create the ODBC Data Sources.
2) Make sure the Master80 password is correct in the FRx company. Log into FRx, go to Admin | Organization and click OK. Then go to Company | Information and select the company that gets an error 5, and click on the System Specific Information tab, and the Master Password field should appear. Type in the correct password and save, and choose set as default to see if you can access the company.
3) The FRx service pack level on the workstation isn't the same as one on the server. Confirm the version of FRx installed on the machine matches that installed/running on the rest of the network.
4) Check SQL permissions on Master80 user. Open the SQL Server Management Studio, go to Security | Logins and find Master80 or Master60SP, and right click and choose Properties. Click on Permissions, and then make sure the application and system databases are selected, and on the bottom, check the datareader and MSDynamicsSL for each database and click OK.
